Well I've done some tweaking to the site and moved the photo links all to one page. The biggest news is that I finally got Sarah a ring. I will post photos soon. A wedding page will also be coming soon. I got rid of the poll because well Sarah got her diamond. If you want to know the exact size you have to ask her. I think I did good though :) Well thats all for now and I'll try to keep everyone updated on wedding plans.

Well its been a while since we have updated and i got laid off so here we go.
Lately its been more like a construction site aroubd here. That's a good thing thoughb. it means i have been getting things done. The kitchen is finally coming together. many thanks to dennis wise for doing the counter tops for us. i have finished the tile and have been working on drywall and electric. I have cleaned up the debris in the yard and burned all the leaves. The fascia is 99.99999 percent done. Maybe someday i'll finish it. I finally cut down the tree that was 2 feet from the back door. My mom wanted it but didnt get it in time. Sorry mom. I'm so happy the house is finally coming together. I still feel like it would be more of a home if people came over to see it more often. I need to start a poker night or a game night or something. I hope to post some after pictures of the house soon.

Well, it's official! We are homeowners! We closed on our home
this afternoon. We are going to head over first thing tomorrow
morning to start working on it. If anyone wants to lend a hand,
let us know! We can sure use the help! We are extremely excited
and happy, and can't wait to get to work! Our apartment lease ends
July 7, so we'll have to move in before then.

Tomorrow, we plan to start by tearing out the carpet and knocking
down one of the walls in the basement. Soon we will be reroofing
a small part of the roof, putting in a couple of new windows, and
redoing the floor. We will definitely be frequent shoppers at Menard's
and HOBO (Home Owners Bargain Outlet)!

Other than that, not a lot is going on. Sarah's brother and 3 of
his friends came up last weekend. In a few weeks, we will be headed
to Sarah's family reunion in Missouri. Then, a good friend of Sarah's
is getting married July 9! So we definitely have a busy few weeks ahead of us.

Molly is fine. Her latest hobbies include trying to pull down our
ceiling fan by the cords, and playing with Sarah's ponytail holders.

Well I worked out all the bugs with my virtual server and you may now view our baby pictures. Yesterday We went to the new house to clean it up for the appraisal by the bank. It's almost ours. It looks like we'll be closing early June. Don't forget, Dan's birthday is tuesday, and happy mothers day to all who happen to be mothers.

Dan and Sarah are still waiting to get the contract for their house back signed from the seller. It should be any day now! We are just crossing our fingers that there are no glitches.
We applied for a mortgage last week, and once we get our contract, we are hoping it will only take 30 days or so to close on our house.
Due to the fact that we will have to come up with a super large sum of money at closing for our house (and, depending on the appraisal, it could be more than we anticipated), Sarah and Dan are working on spending as little money as possible over the next few weeks. Dan is doing a good job saving so far, surprisingly enough. :)
Dan is excited that he will no longer be working on the deck at the high rise building in the loop - instead he will be working at the "prefab" shop (whatever that means, Sarah isn't sure) where the commute is much shorter and he can park for free.
Dan has spent about 2 weeks trying unsuccessfully to download a movie on the internet. It is cute to watch him get all excited hoping it will work, and then it doesn't.
We will be disconnecting our home phone soon, and using our cell phones only. If you need our cell numbers and don't have them, email us from the main homepage.
Well we are now officially out of ice cream, and we won't be buying more since we are saving money. Dan is doing okay, although he went through a brief period of mourning.
Molly broke a glass yesterday. She loves to knock over any kind of glasses that we leave lying around.

Well two of the five houses we were going to look at have sold. Looks like we better get moving before the rates get too high again. We also forgot to mention something in our last update. On Wed. April 14th Dan was in a minor fender bender. Dont worry no one was hurt. He rear ended a BMW on Columbus Drive in the loop. It bent his bumper and he is planning on repairing it today. Dont ask how. The BMW sustained very little damage. I guess they really are good cars. Well thats all for now. We will give an update on our house situation soon hopefully. Dan and Sarah by some miracle of God have been prequalified for a mortgage! They are going to be looking at 5 houses on Sunday, April 18. Hopefully one of them will be our dream home! Dan has been working a lot and comes home from work very dirty. Sarah has cooked him dinner a few times. Sarah has a new laptop, which works intermittently. When it does work, it's wonderful! Sarah has been watching a lot of reality TV, including American Idol, the Apprentice, and the Bachelor. She still doesn't have a job, but that's okay, Dan loves her anyway. Dan is still eating a crapload of ice cream. He has 3 or 4 bowls a day, with chocolate syrup. He likes it!

3/24/04 - Dan is finally going back to work starting Friday 3/26 for OSullivan Plumbing, so he will no longer be hanging around the apartment all day driving Sarah nuts! Yay!
A shout out to our friends Dan and Michelle who just got engaged. (different Dan) Way to go at landing that big ol diamond, Michelle! :) Theyll be getting married sometime this fall, and were excited to be part of it (Sarah is a bridesmaid) - they have been together since we were freshmen in college!
We will be heading to Sarahs hometown of Girard the weekend of April 2-4. If thats where you are and you want to hang out, let us know!
Sarah still really wants a house with a washer and dryer, a backyard, a dog, a hot tub, a white picket fence... well, you get the picture.
Molly has been meowing and pooping a lot lately. She says hi. Dan enjoys cleaning her litter box. Additionally, we have two houseplants that we have managed to keep alive for several months now, although Molly sometimes tries to eat them.
Sarah misses her IBM Thinkpad and would like to buy a laptop.
Dan has gone through more than a gallon of ice cream in the course of one week. He likes ice cream.
